Most Hikes take place on Sunday's either early morning or afternoon at Crowders Mountain State Park To get to the Crowders Mtn State Park Main Office from Charlotte: Travel south on I-85. Get off at exit 13 (Crowders Mtn State Park), make a left off the exit ramp. Go to the light, make a RIGHT onto Hwy 74/Franklin Blvd. Go to the second light and make a LEFT onto Freedom Mill Road. Go approximately 2 miles. You will see a sign for Crowders Mtn State Park. Make a RIGHT onto Sparrow Springs Rd. Make the next RIGHT onto State Park Lane. Make the next right into the parking area. To get to the Linwood Access from Charlotte: Travel south on I-85. Get off at exit 13 (Crowders Mtn State Park), make a LEFT off the exit ramp. Go to the light, go STRAIGHT (Edgewood Dr. turns into Archie Whitesides Rd.) Archie Whitesides Rd dead ends at Linwood Rd. Make a LEFT onto Linwood Rd. and make the next RIGHT into the Linwood Access parking area. |
